This drone and bodycam footage from 16 July 2026 comes courtesy of Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Florida. That morning, a woman reported that her boyfriend had held her captive the previous night at gunpoint, restrained with zip-ties. Deputies were dispatched to the man's home in Ruskin, and while they anticipated him being armed, they did not expect him to be lying in wait. Christopher Dmuchowski, 34 years of age, opened fire as the Hillsborough deputies arrived on-scene, downing two of them. Deputy Sopharmony Muon took rounds to the face and hand, and Deputy Colton Daniels was hit in the neck. Sergeant Harrison Bashner shot Dmuchowski, who was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. Thanks to timely aid rendered, both Deputies are expected to fully recover. However, due to graphic imagery, viewer discretion is advised.

This archival footage from 04 May 1978 shows the aftermath of "Operation Reindeer", also known colloquially as "Cassinga Raid" in Angola. As part of the South African Border War, paratroopers were dropped on Cassinga in order to both prove the existence of and destroy a joint SWAPO-Cuban presence there. SWAPO was a guerilla organization fighting for Namibian independence from South Africa. Despite the Cold War and associated Cuban Missile Crisis, Cuba's military efforts to aid the spread of Communism are often overlooked in US perspectives on history. Interestingly, the paratroopers involved (called "parabats" in SADF parlance) were told it was a training operation right up to the point of execution. This led to aircraft full of parabats having to return to base with Reservists who legally could not be used in cross-border operations.

In the initial few seconds it is clear that they are not concerned with flagging each other or muzzle discipline. By September 2017, the conflict had been raging since 2011 and the prodemocracy groups and army defectors which had initially opposed the regime had been usurped by a mishmash of extremists factions. Some groups, such as HTS, were offshoots of Al Qaeda. The Syrian Army, on the other hand, was quite exhausted by this point and relied heavily on support from Russia and Iran.
