California Cop stops stabbing in progress

This bodycam footage shows a Santa Clara police officer responding to a 911 call regarding a stabbing. The victim managed to take the knife, which broke, away from the attacker, whereupon he pulled out a second knife and continued trying to stab the victim. The officer arrived to see the struggle happening in real-time, whereupon he shot the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. The 911 call stated that the suspect, Mohammed Nizamuddin, 30 years of age, was stabbing one of his roommates with a large knife, at which point police were dispatched. As they travelled to the address, the situation evolved. The victim managed to wrest the knife from Nizamuddin, and it broke. Clearly committed to murdering his roommate, Nizamuddin drew a second knife and resumed stabbing. By the time the officers arrived, the victim had been stabbed several times in the chest and abdomen, and had suffered defensive wounds to his hands. The officers forced entry and found Nizamuddin mid-stabbing. Although there were three other people in the home, they apparently did nothing but call 911. As the suspect's hand came down with the knife, the officer shot four times, hitting Nizamuddin with all four rounds. The police removed the victim from the home and rendered medical aid until EMS arrived. Although aid was also rendered to a handcuffed Nizamuddin, he died at an area hospital. Despite his extensive injuries, the victim survived. No officers or other persons were hurt.

Texas Cops and good Samaritans team up to save infant

This bodycam footage comes from Fort Worth, Texas, and occurred on 23 October 2025. Fort Worth Sergeant Nichols and Officer Bounds responded to a vehicle collision, wherein a mother and her infant child were ejected from their vehicle. Even more horrifically, the infant was pinned under the vehicle after it rolled over and was unresponsive. While we stress that this story has a happy ending, due to the subject matter and nature of the patient, viewer discretion is advised. The two officers, along with bystanders turned Good Samaritan after having seen the accident occur, managed to get the car off of the child. Sergeant Nichols began CPR and roused the child, keeping her alive and responsive until EMS arrived. The out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest survival rate in children hovers around 6-10 percent,according to a study on file at the National Library of Medicine. But Texans have a long, history of cracking their knuckles and taking on the unlikely, and these people pushed Death back by hand. Both mom and baby are in a stable condition and expected to fully recover.

Florida Cop murders unarmed suspect

This bodycam footage shows a Sheriff's Deputy in Charlotte County, Florida, shooting and ultimately killing a suspect who proffers minimal resistance. It is uncensored and likely to inspire strong emotions, as are certain administrative details of the ongoing case. Viewer discretion is advised.

BB Gun gets suspect shot for real

This compilation from Mesa, Arizona, includes the 911 call, security camera and bodycam footage of an incident which occurred on 18 September 2025. Officers were called to respond to a female complainant's husband, who was reportedly drunkenly throwing things and moving to and from his vehicle with a handgun. When the officers arrive, he points it at them and is shot. However, ex post facto, the weapon the suspect had was in fact a realistic-looking BB gun. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect's wife stated within the 911 call that she believed the weapon to be fake, and that he had made threats that she would become a widow. With the benefit of hindsight and all the facts, this may seem like a very clearly stated indicator for suicide by cop. However, the officers can't take the woman's word that the gun is fake at the risk of their own lives, and have to treat the situation as a potentially deadly one. Therefore, they do what any reasonable and prudent officer would do when a threat points a weapon at them, and drop him. Although aid was rendered on-scene, the suspect, his identity withheld, later died at an area hospital. No other persons were hurt and the weapon was determined to be a BB-firing replica Glock.

Striker fired beats hammer in New Mexico

This footage,coming from Las Cruces, New Mexico, shows an officer called to address reports of a person threatening restaurant staff and customers while wielding a knife and hammer. When the officer makes contact, the suspect advances on him with the hammer despite repeated warnings. The hammer being a deadly weapon, the officer shoots and kills the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. Phillip Mullen, 50 years of age, exits his car and advances aggressively toward the officer, hammer in-hand. The officer tells him to stop and not to raise the weapon no less than eight times. However, Mullen continues to advance while the officer backpedals to keep him from closing the distance between them. This retreating situation is untenable, and the officer is forced to shoot Mullen three times. From a tactical perspective, holstering and changing weapon systems could have provided the suspect a window or reactionary gap within which to attack. Although aid is rendered on-scene, the released video almost completely obfuscates it and as such, it is omitted from this cut for the sake of brevity. Mullen was pronounced dead on-scene.

Deranged suspect throwing construction materials gets dropped

This bodycam footage comes from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where an officer is called to address a public disturbance in the early morning of 24 September, 2025. Upon contact, the suspect begins yelling offensive statements and theological improbabilities despite the officer attempting to de-escalate. When the suspect moves aggressively toward the officer, the officer uses OC spray, at which point the man starts throwing construction materials. He is warned to stop, and is eventually shot due to the potential harm he had the ability to cause with the bricks and boards. Although he survived the shooting, the suspect is currently hospitalized and viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Jason Redshirt, 45 years of age, repeatedly threatened that the officer and others would be killed. Despite his attempts to de-escalate Redshirt, the officer is compelled to escalate to an intermediate weapon- OC spray. Redshirt then flees to a trailer filled with bricks, boards, and similar debris, and begins throwing them at the officer, who then shoots him. Redshirt has been hospitalized and the officer placed on leave. Use of lethal force, whether it actually kills the suspect or not, is based on three pillars. Ability, opportunity, and intent- in other words, "does the subject have the means to kill me/someone, is in a position to kill me/someone, and has demonstrated that to be their perceived goal". Some agencies I've worked with teach the last point as "preclusion"- that is, "is trying to kill someone the only thing their actions could possibly intend." Technically, ability and opportunity are satisfied by his proximity to and ability to throw potentially permanently-damaging things. Intent is satisfied by his stating that he would kill the officer. However, with the disclaimer that I am not a lawyer, I am not convinced that the officer had no other means to address this situation. I can't confirm whether or not he had other intermediate means at his disposal such as a TASER, but certainly, backing up further than Redshirt could throw a 2x4 and calling for some help was an option, provided Redshirt hadn't been training for the caber toss at the Highland Games. The lengthy amount of time and warnings the officer gives Redshirt between throws speaks to the lack of urgency here. It's a tough call and I'm glad I don't have to make it, but while he may be legally in the clear to continue working, I would not be surprised to see a civil suit come down the pipeline.

Pistol whipping off duty Cop doesn't work out

This dashcam footage shows an off-duty police officer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On his way to work, he gets in a minor fender-bender with another driver, who decides the appropriate decision is to brandish a firearm and strike the officer with it. The officer, a 21-year-veteran, is not intimidated and draws his own firearm. In the ensuing gunfire, the suspect is hit and killed, while the officer is unscathed apart from the head injury. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, at this time unidentified apart from his 23 years of age, hits the officer in the mouth with his pistol at the approximate 40 second mark. Relatively calmly, he draws his own pistol and manages to fire on the suspect, despite the suspect already having his weapon out. The suspect clearly thought he held all the cards here, but you can almost see his OODA loop grinding to a halt as he realizes he's picked the wrong guy to try to bully. He tries to use his car for cover but the officer keeps lighting him up when he tries to emerge. Then the penny drops: "Milwaukee Police." Uninjured by the suspect's ineffective gunfire, the police officer shown was placed on administrative leave after being treated for his facial injury, pending an investigation of the shooting- normal practice for an OIS. No other persons were harmed.

Suspect rushes California Cop with shovel

This compilation of dashcam and bodycam footage comes from Anaheim, California, where police received reports of a man unknown to the area, potentially under the influence of drugs, was exhibiting suspicious behavior. Reports at different times indicated the man was in possession of a broken brick and shovel. When the officer made contact with the suspect, the shovel-wielding suspect charged immediately, swinging at the car first. Despite warnings that he would be shot, the suspect rushed the officer with the shovel, forcing an officer involved shooting. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Rudy Martinez II, 36 years of age, had been spotted loitering near private residences and a school. When the officer made contact, Martinez repeatedly swung the shovel in overhead swings at the car, and then the officer. The Anaheim officer shot five times, dropping Martinez. Although aid by both the police and Anaheim Fire/Rescue was rendered, Martinez succumbed to his wounds at an area hospital. From first to last, the officer appears equal parts shocked and dismayed that Martinez forced his hand.

Gunfight in tiny LA liquor store

This compilation of bodycam and surveillance camera footage comes from the Los Angeles Police Department. As LAPD officers attempted to question a suspect regarding what appeared to be a poorly concealed handgun, he fled while drawing it, resulting in an intense exchange of gunfire in a small space. Although no one was killed, the suspect was wounded and, therefore, this video requires viewer discretion. When LAPD officers made contact with Malik Salaah, 33 years of age, he claimed that he did not have any weapons on his person, despite a firearm being evidently visible. As they attempted to search him, he fled into the small store, drawing his handgun. One of the LAPD officers attempted to shoot him as he drew, but Salaah returned fire from the aisle. The officers backed off to establish a perimeter, but Salaah suppressed them with fire as he fled the store. However, a wider police perimeter caught and arrested Salaah a few moments later. Once in custody, he was given aid for a gunshot wound sustained, and transported to an area hospital. The suspect was charged with attempted murder of a peace officer, and his 9-millimeter pistol was found empty in lockback was located within the perimeter containing the scene. No other persons were harmed.

Armed shoplifter killed by police truck

This quick clip comes from the Police Department in Pueblo, Colorado, and shows the harrowing last few seconds of a chase in which the suspect, armed and attempting to steal a vehicle, is struck and killed by a police vehicle. Although the video is brief, due to the subject matter and uncensored impact, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Antonio Herrera, 36 years of age, allegedly attempted to shoplift at a local shoe store. Upon being discovered, he brandished a handgun as he fled. As he ran toward an occupied building, and more specifically, a nearby family's vehicle, an officer driving a DICE (Directed Investigation and Community Envolvement) truck interpreted his actions as a threat to the occupants and struck him with the truck. When hit, Herrera let go of his handgun which flew up into perfect view of the dashcam. Herrera was pronounced dead on-scene despite aid rendered. This use of force is currently being investigated. With the caveat that I am not a lawyer and nor were my instructors at the police academy, we were taught that when lethal force is justified, the means by which that force is applied doesn't matter as long as it is tactically and judgmentally sound. In other words, if the most expedient means to neutralize the threat Herrera presented was to hit him with the car rather than get out and shoot, the officer was under no obligation to stop. Just my two cents.

Police captain survives gunshots despite useless backup

his bodycam footage comes from St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and shows local police Captain Gray and his partner investigating a reported assault. It is fairly unusual, and therefore commendable, to see supervisory officers of this rank working in the field at all, let alone taking point. Unfortunately, in trying to make contact with the suspect, Gray is hit twice by the suspect's shotgun. He manages to exfil after getting bailed on by his otherwise ineffective partner, and is then evacuated to an area hospital. Viewer discretion is advised. As Gray ascends the stairs, he makes contact with the victim, who pointed out the suspect down the hall. Reaching the top of the stairs, Gray is hit with the first round at 0:53. A second round is fired at 0:59. His partner, wearing the body camera, retreats downstairs, mistaking the gunfire for flashbangs...somehow. This may have something to do with the rounds being bird or rat shot, but it's still an incredible assumption to jump to. The suspect, later identified as Scott Mason, 38 years of age, can be heard yelling for the police to "get the f--- out." Captain Gray calmly descends the stairs and requests and ambulance as the suspect escapes via a window on the second floor. At 01:40, Gray retains his composure despite being asked if he got hit with a flashbang after having been shot in the face. Between being left behind in a gunfight and the stupid questions, I don't think anyone would blame him for losing his cool, but he remains collected, albeit probably in shock.

Carjacking arrest turns into gunfight

This bodycam and dashcam footage comes from Indianapolis, Indiana, where we see a Metropolitan Police Department officer attempting to apprehend the occupants of a stolen car. However, four-to-one odds are not in this officer's favor, and as he attempts to cuff the driver, a passenger shoots the officer while the others scatter, resulting in a chaotic exchange of gunfire. Viewer discretion is advised. The car's description and plates returned to a vehicle that was registered as stolen the night before. As Officer Renteria followed it to a parking spot, the four suspects inside all took separate actions. The rear passenger on the driver's side fled immediately. Tyson Reach, 19 years of age, appeared to surrender, walking to the front of the vehicle. Officer Renteria took positive control of the driver and attempted to put him in a prone position. As he did so, Reach drew a pistol and shot Officer Renteria, who was hit in the leg. Renteria returned fire, hitting Reach, who fled. As he lay there, Renteria applied a tourniquet to his leg. Reach fell to the ground a short distance from the car. Officers moved to secure him while Renteria was transported to an area hospital, having been given aid by two bystanders. The officer was shot three times, with a fourth not penetrating his vest. The backup officers used a flashbang and ballistic shield to separate Reach from his handgun before transporting him to another hospital, where he later died of his wounds.

Louisiana state trooper mag dumps armed suspect

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage comes courtesy of the Louisiana State Troopers, shown here in the attempted interdiction of two narcotics suspects in a chase from Terrebonne Parish to Lafourche Parish. One of the suspects tries to flee on foot and draws a firearm, at which point he is shot and killed. Viewer discretion is advised. LSP attempted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 containing two persons suspected of narcotic activity: The driver, Jonah Parfait, 46 years of age and passenger, Darien Riffe, 31. The pair did not comply with the traffic stop and instead lead LSP on a chase that crossed parish lines. At the end of the road, Riffe exited on foot. Apparently, the odds seemed better if they split up. He's shown climbing through a cattle gate, at which point the camera switches to the Trooper's bodycam. After a foot chase smattered with references to the taser that I am certain only seem unprofessional due to a thick regional accent, Riffe is shown going prone and drawing a handgun, at which point the Trooper shoots him several times. At least one round is heard from Riffe's weapon while the trooper shoots to lockback and reloads. Despite medical aid rendered, Riffe was declared deceased on-scene. His partner, still driving the F-150, was apprehended after a vehicle collision which caused minor injuries to a bystander. No other persons were harmed.

Ohio Cop drops armed suspect

This compilation of bodycam footage from Columbus, Ohio, shows a an armed suspect fleeing police. Despite being warned to drop the weapon, he turns toward the officers with the weapon still in-hand, at which point he gets shot and drops. Thanks to prompt medical aid, the suspect survives in stable condition to await charges. However, due to the graphic nature of the incident, viewer discretion remains advised. The suspect, later identified as one Deontis Williams-Spencer, failed to stop during a traffic interdiction and instead fled on foot, pistol in-hand. When ordered to stop running and drop the weapon, Williams-Spencer instead opted to turn toward the officers. This is, and I cannot stress this enough, never the right decision. Williams-Spencer got shot and fell to the ground. Police and Fire personnel collaborated to provide aid and transport the suspect to an area hospital. Once stabilized, he was charged with obstruction of official business and aggravated menacing. His girlfriend, the passenger, was not charged with any crime.

76 Year old gunman takes on Indiana Cops

This compilation of juxtaposed body and dashcam footage comes from Indianapolis, Indiana. Police responded to a domestic disturbance where a woman was found shot Despite medical intervention, the victim later passed. As they pursued the suspect- a 76-year-old man- a rolling gunfight ensued until the suspect exited the vehicle, at which point they exchanged rounds on foot. The suspect, found in possession of a handgun and AR-style pistol, died from gunshot wounds received. Therefore, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Walter McNary, 76 years of age, fired at officers several times, prompting them to return fire from their vehicles. After McNary exited his vehicle, he hid behind a corner and emerged, pointing his weapon at an officer, who ended the confrontation with a round from his patrol rifle. McNary went down and was unresponsive, but within reach of his weapon. Therefore out of an abundance of caution, SWAT was called to close with and secure McNary. Although medical aid was provided, McNary was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Two police vehicles were damaged by his gunfire, but no officers or other persons were injured

Erratic Florida Man draws on deputy

This bodycam footage comes from Bay County, Florida, where several 911 calls came in regarding an armed man exhibiting erratic and aggressive behavior. Although the reports mistook it for an assault rifle, when a Bay County Deputy made contact, the long arm was found to be a mag-fed shotgun, along with the pistol on the suspect's belt. Despite being warned against it, the suspect drew the pistol and pointed it at the Deputy, resulting in an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS). Viewer discretion is advised. Justin Smith, 45 years of age, had been contacted by law enforcement the previous evening regarding trespassing and harassment. The following morning, a Bay County Deputy made contact. When he closed with Smith to take the shotgun from him, Smith became increasingly agitated and reached for his pistol. Although plenty of other cops would have shot Smith and been justified in doing it, this Deputy gave him a warning. Unfortunately, his clemency was wasted and Smith drew, exchanging fire with the Deputy. In the ensuing gunfight, Smith fired six rounds to the Deputy's seven. The Deputy was unharmed, but hit Smith. Once the suspect was downed, the Deputy provided medical aid until paramedics arrived. However, Smith was declared deceased on-scene. No other persons were harmed.

Texan bystander grapples with armed criminal

This compilation of bodycam footage comes from Austin, Texas. Local police had been investigating a suspect for a string of crimes, including burglaries in which firearms had been stolen. When they located the suspect, he drew a handgun. A bystander immediately tried to grapple with the suspect rather than become a victim. Despite his heroic efforts, the suspect fired a round at the bystander before being shot by police. Viewer discretion is advised. The bystander reportedly stated that the actions of the suspect, Raymond Howard, 33 years of age, made him fear that he was in imminent danger. Howard ignored commands to lower his weapon and shot the bystander, who still made efforts to restrain him. Police responded by shooting Howard, and although they rendered aid, the suspect was pronounced dead on-scene. The bystander was transported to an area hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and released the same day.
