Anti-junta forces intercept government boats with recoilless rifle
Earlier in the week, I released a video of a People's Defense Force element attacking a junta boat with what I assumed was a field-expedient cannon or directional explosive. There have been other recorded instances of PDF's using that strategy earlier in the year. This longer video, showing the same attack as well as others, reveals that the PDF was using a Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle to ambush the boats. Along with the evolution of small arms from slam-bang shotguns to jungle-built AK's, this demonstrates how quickly the anti-junta units adopt and adapt to newer, more complex firepower.
