California Cop goes from grapple to gunfight

This quick, chaotic clip of bodycam footage comes from Bakersfield, California, where on 29 December 2025, an officer went hands-on with suspect Fabian Lopez, who fled on foot from a traffic stop. During the struggle, Lopez drew a handgun. At this point, an officer involved shooting (OIS) occurred, and Lopez proved tenacious, repeatedly trying to rise and point his weapon as the officer fired. Somewhat surprisingly, Lopez was not killed outright and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Should he survive, he will be charged with attempted murder of a police officer, among other weapon-related offenses. Viewer discretion is advised.
