FARC commander gunned down by rivals
The commander of the Magdalena Medio Bloc of the EMBF (General Staff of Blocks and Front - Estado Mayor de Bloques y Frente), a Colombian dissident group tracing its lineage back to the disbanded Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), was ambushed and shot dead, according to reports and video evidence provided by a rival criminal organization.In the video, the commander, who is only known by his alias "Richard Suárez," can be seen walking in his camp, when he is engaged by a rifleman with a suppressed weapon. The first shot misses, sending the target crime boss into a running panic, causing him to tumble down a steep hill. More shots are fired before he is finally hit and subdued.This incident is breaking g as of the time of this writing, and has yet to be confirmed by official Colombian sources.
