Israel strikes Hezbollah missile production
Israel continues a pattern of preemptive strikes against bad-faith actors in the region. Earlier today, Airstrikes pummeled facilities in Lebanon used by Hezbollah for the manufacture and storage of missiles, announced Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz. Despite a cease fire agreement in November, Israel has since attacked sites in the region on multiple occasions. The disarmament of Hezbollah is a goal of both Israel and of the Lebanese government, which is under significant pressure from the United States to take action against the terrorist group. Katz also stated that any attempt by the organization to recover “will be met with relentless intensity.”
