Israeli reservists use ingenious compressed air artillery

This quick clip shows the Israeli Defense Forces' 146th Reserve Division using a relatively rare, yet impressive compressed air howitzer system. It's essentially the potato gun your fun/crazy Uncle had in his garage, but tooled up for war. However, such a battery takes up a lot of space and weight and this is probably why they're not often seen elsewhere. That said, given Israel's obvious need for fixed defenses, it's not as if this setup would be moved very often, if at all. From a practical standpoint, it is probably used to burn away foliage around the border with Lebanon to prevent ingress, rather than for direct warhead-forehead interface. By using compressed air, it's relatively easy for the crew to fine-tune and accurately drop salvos.
