Junta troops clearing PDF defensive trench
The ongoing war in Myanmar/Burma is a nuanced affair, with factional infighting, ethnic concerns and an ever-expanding arsenal of home-made weaponry that would make gunsmiths in the Khyber Pass blush. However, in broad strokes, the conflict shares more than passing resemblance to the war in Ukraine, because war never changes. In addition to the proliferation of drones on both sides of the conflict, the comeback of trench warfare has apparently reached Southeast Asia. Here, we see SAC (aka Junta) troops clearing an outlying trench which had been defending a PDF camp near Tagaung Township. It's likely that the trench was intended as a speed bump more than an outright bulwark against oncoming attack, and in this regard it was successful- it presents a problem that the SAC fighters have no choice beyond reacting to, no matter how populated the trench is.
