Pakistan/India conflict joins the drone wars
This footage shows a quadrotor drone being used to drop a mortar round on unsuspecting infantry under light tree cover below. While this scenario is one that's played out thousands of times in Ukraine, Myanmar, and Sudan, what sets this one apart is it's in Pakistan and the men on the ground are Indian. The immediate adoption and implementation of drones in so nascent a conflict only underlines the point that drone-based warfare, much like the proliferation of night vision and thermal vision devices, is not a novelty, or a nice advantage to have; rather they represent what war will be, henceforth.
