Rubicon targets exposed troops
A compilation of FPV drone strikes against Ukrainian troops near Pokrovsk has been released by the Rubicon drone unit. One thing not mentioned by the Rubicon drone unit in this release is the amount of electronic warfare they seem to be dealing with from the Ukrainian side.While some of these strikes are unquestionably effective, throughout the footage, you'll notice a lot of static on the drones as they start to make their attack run. This static you're seeing is caused by Ukrainian electronic warfare systems jamming the drone's receiver unit, making it almost impossible for the drone operator to score a direct hit.These EW systems are likely why we've seen such a drastic increase in the use of fiber-optic drones throughout all of Ukraine over the past year. The only other option outside of hard-wiring your drone would be to make it fully autonomous so that the device flies without human input.
