South Korean K239 MLRS sustained fire
Promotional footage taken in 2024 of South Korean K239 Chunmoo MLRS firing at the sustained rate. The K239 was developed in 2013 and can accommodate various pods firing different munitions. One contains twenty K33 131mm unguided rockets, with a range of 36 kilometers. The second pod holds KM26A2 230mm rockets, similar to the M26 BPICM rockets used by the South Korean M270 MLRS vehicle. The third pod holds Six 239 mm Chunmoo guided rockets which can be fitted with a variety of warheads. The system is versatile and can fire sustained barrages while maintaining accuracy. In addition to being employed by the South Korean military, the K239 was recently acquired by the Polish Army as part of its massive military buildup. Originally, the Poles hoped to acquire the American HIMARS system, but when that system could not be produced in sufficient numbers, the Polish government opted for both HIMARS and 300 South Korean K239 systems.
