Bazan oil refinery hit by Hezbollah
On March 30, 2026, Israel's largest oil refinery in Haifa was struck during a coordinated missile barrage from Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Debris from an intercepted projectile hit an industrial building and a parked fuel tanker at the Bazan refinery complex, sparking a fire that sent thick black smoke billowing over the city. Firefighters quickly responded and contained the blaze, with no casualties reported at the site. No casualties have been reported at the time of this writing. The Bazan facility processes a significant portion of Israel's fuel supply, making it a high-value target in the ongoing month-long conflict.
