Colombian Mercenary in Sudan
A man purported to be a Colombian mercenary serving alongside Rapid Support Force (RSF) fighters in Sudan. Sources allege that a Colombian mercenary, though not necessarily this man, was killed yesterday during a failed RSF attack near the town of Al-Fasher. Sources indicate that recruiting companies with ties to UAE, a supporter of the RSF, have used promises of security contracts in Africa and the Middle East to lure Colombian veterans into participating in the war in Sudan. Driven by a wavering Colombian economy, these men are funneled into Sudan through Chad, Libya, and Somalia, where they serve alongside the RSF for $2,600–3,400 per month.
