Hillsborough County grappler stops fleeing suspect

This quick clip comes courtesy of Florida's Hillsborough County. On 14 March 2026, Sheriff's Deputies attempted to stop a suspect later identified as Danny Wilson, 38 years of age. However, he refused to comply and led the deputies on a short-lived but dangerous high-speed chase, weaving in and out of traffic. Fortunately, the grappler attachment on the pursuing cruiser made short work of his escape attempt. Although Wilson seemed incredulous that the deputies would point weapons at him, the responding HCSO deputy correctly pointed out that he couldn't know what Wilson may have had in the car, and that fleeing from something as innocuous as a traffic stop only raises suspicions.
