Malian air force stike hits mining camp
Drone footage of a strike by the Malian air force against vehicles at an encampment near the city of Kidal. The Malian government claims that the vehicles belonged to the Azawad Liberation Front, a Tuareg separatist group. Anti-government sources deny that the strike killed separatists, claiming that the site is used by illegal gold miners from Niger, who were killed in the blast. This footage is indicative of the evolving and ever more sophisticated nature of conflict in West Africa.
