Terrorists smacked by artillery in Mali

A band of militants roaming a cluster of mud huts in the outskirts of the Malian capital of Bamako receive an abrupt reception from government troops. In footage from late April, the militants, members of the Al Qaeda affiliate JNIM, are struck by artillery targeted by drones. The military junta governing Mali faced a country-wide offensive from Islamists and tribal separatists but have managed to maintain control of the capital thanks to the assistance of their Russian allies. The coordination of drones and artillery is doubtless a technique imported from the war in Ukraine.
