Coast Guard rescue operation in Gulf of Mexico

FLIR footage released by the United States Coast Guard captures the moment 8 boaters were rescued by USCG service members out of Coast Guard Station Cortez. The footage was captured on Saturday, November 15, 2025, when a 26-foot recreational vessel experienced mechanical failure and became disabled about 35 miles west of Venice, Florida, in the Gulf of Mexico.
