U.S. M48 tank in Thai service
A Cold War relic has found relevance in the Royal Thai Army. This footage shows an M48 Patton tank in Thai service. The crew pushes their vehicle through dense foliage, engaging targets at short range. The M48 was a replacement for the M4 Sherman, the M26 Pershing, and the M46 and M47 Patton tanks, with 12,000 produced between 1952 and 1961. Originally designed with a 90mm main gun, this is likely an M48A5, with the 105mm main gun and the M60 power pack.
