Ukrainian truck gets ambushed by Russian recon

This footage shows the perspective of a passenger in a Ukrainian truck which was ambushed by a Russian reconnaissance element in Pokrovsk on 18 July, 2025. Automatic fire rakes the vehicle as it speeds through the ambush zone, and after driving a short distance, the Ukrainians appear to ditch the vehicle. However, it's anything but a clean getaway. It appears that the driver of the vehicle is at least wounded- some of his blood is visible on the passenger- and another rider, who was seated in the back of the truck, appears to have been killed outright. As such, viewer discretion is advised.The Ukrainian source that posted this video described the Russian attack as "cowardly", although an identical ambush by his side probably wouldn't get the same derision. Objectively speaking, it's a valid tactic performed well against a fast-moving target. It is unclear how the surviving Ukrainians survived their escape on foot.
